Over Maine Craft Weekend, we will unbrick and unload the Salt kiln (Saturday at 10 am) and the Wood Kiln (Sunday at 10 am) at Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in Newcastle, Maine. Visitors will be able to buy pots as they are unloaded, see the full range of work in the kiln, ask questions about wood and salt firing, and visit with the potters whose work was fired. Opening a kiln is always a mystery, regardless of how many years of experience you may have (thankfully, because I have hardly any at all. I'm out of my element, Donny). Aside from this noob, there are 4 other amazing ceramic artists participating in this big firing!

Please join us for an awesome event in this beautiful place in mid-coast Maine, and check the Maine Craft Weekend website to see events happening nearby during this statewide open studio weekend.
